  1. Security Ministry ~ To update our Security Team for the new church year, please call the church office and let us know if you want to continue your current rotation, be added or be removed from the security schedule.


  1. Nominating Ministry ~ Needs: Wednesday Night Preschool Teacher, Fellowship Ministry, and once-a-month workers for the Nursery/Toddler rooms. Contact Pam Hill, Barbara Wiginton, Curtis Bulloch or the church office.


  1. Fellowship Meals ~ An accurate count is needed by Monday for the Wednesday of each week. You may call every week or you may be added to our permanent list; however, regulars also need to let us know by Monday if their plans change. Your cooperation is crucial to ensure the correct amount is purchased each week.


  1. Ladies Bible Study ~ Wendy Speigle’s Wednesday Bible study on "Hebrews: The Near- ness of King Jesus" by Lisa Harper, ends this week. A new Wednesday night study will begin September 10: The Best Yes: Making Wise Decisions in the Midst of Endless Demands by Lysa TerKeurst. Wednesdays in the Co-Ed 7 classroom at 6:30 P.M.


  1. Kick Off Luncheon ~ Ladies, you are invited to hear about the new things planned by the Women’s Ministry at a “Fall in Love with Jesus” Luncheon Sunday, September 7, im- mediately following the morning worship service. The luncheon is free and will be held in our Fellowship Hall. Today is the deadline to sign up at the Welcome Desk.


  1. Revive Ministry ~ Revive is happy to announce that beginning September 8, they will be returning to the Dixie Manor community on Monday afternoons to hold backyard Bible clubs throughout the school year! College age plus high school students are welcome to participate. Meet at the church at 3:30 P.M. to carpool. This is a great way to take the Gospel to those right here in our own community.   1. Senior Adult Lunch ~ Tuesday, September 9, at 11:00 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Ashley Anderton will share her powerful testimony and sing. She is a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover. The meal is hamburger steak with gravy and onions, rolls and drinks. Please bring vegetables, salads, and/or desserts.


  1. Men’s Softball ~ The Fall Softball league begins Tuesday, September 9, in Garden- dale. Three to four men are needed to fill our team. Call Steve Belcher at 647-2881.


  1. Ladies Craft Night ~ Sign up at the Welcome Desk to join us Thursday, September 11, at 6:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Wendy Turner will show us how to make a Deco-Mesh Wreath. The materials you purchase will make two wreaths, one to keep and one for our Sonshine Ministry. The supply list is at the Welcome Desk and at the display table.


  1. Wedding Tea ~ You are invited to a Bridal Tea honoring Kelly Bundy, bride-elect of Chris Hinkle, Sunday, September 14, from two o'clock until four o'clock in the Fellowship Hall. Registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target. Lowe’s gift cards also appreciated.


  1. Senior Adult Christmas Trip ~ Space is still available for an adult (Enon membership not required) on our Pigeon Forge, TN and Ashville, NC trip December 1-5. The cost is $525 per person based on double occupancy. The final day to make a reservation and pay is Sunday, September 14. Pick up an information brochure at the Welcome Desk.


  1. Monday Morning Bible Study ~ Loretta Horton will lead Children of the Day, an in-depth Bible study of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians by Beth Moore. Find encouragement for living the Christian life now and hope for when Christ returns. Sign-up today at the Welcome Desk. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. beginning Monday, September 15. Child care will be provided by reservation.


  1. Men’s Ministry Breakfast ~ Men of all ages, join us for a Men’s Ministry Breakfast on Sunday, September 21. Breakfast will begin at 7:30 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall.


  1. Annual Church Picnic ~ Our Church Picnic at Camp David in Cullman, is Sunday, September 28. The required release forms and a sign up sheet will be available soon. Make plans to attend!

Light The Night Walk ~ The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk Thursday, October 2, at Railroad Park, celebrates and commemorates lives touched by blood cancers here in the Birmingham area. You can help by forming a fundraising team and/or by donating at retail outlets. Visit the website at www.lightthenight.org/al.
