  1. Fellowship Meals ~ An accurate count is needed by Monday for the Wednesday of each week. You may call every week or you may be added to our permanent list; however, regulars also need to let us know by Monday if their plans change. Your cooperation is crucial to ensure the correct amount is purchased each week.


  1. Revive Ministry ~ Revive is happy to announce that we will be returning to the Dixi Manor community on Monday afternoons to hold backyard Bible clubs throughout the school year! College age plus high school students are welcome to participate. Meet at the church at 3:30 P.M. to carpool. If you have questions, contact Blake Hand at 937-7843 or Kristen McCool at 253-6328.


  1. Security Ministry ~ To update our Security Team for the new church year, please call the church office and let us know if you want to continue your current rotation, be added or be removed from the security schedule.


  1. Nominating Ministry ~ Needs: Wednesday Night Preschool Teacher, Fellowship Ministry, and once-a-month workers for the Nursery/Toddler rooms. Contact Pam Hill, Barbara Wiginton, Curtis Bulloch or the church office.


  1. See You At The Pole ~ As in all great movements of prayer, See You at the PoleTM did not begin in the hearts of people. It began in the heart of God. God used the obedience of a small group of teenagers to ignite what has become an international movement of prayer among young people. All area schools will hold this event on Wednesday, September 24, at 7:15 A.M.


  1. Annual Church Picnic ~ Don’t miss our Church Picnic at Camp David in Cullman Sunday, September 28. Your meal will be provided - just bring a lawn chair and a dessert for your family. Gates open at 1:00, followed by dinner at 4:30 P.M. If you plan to attend, add your family to the sign-up sheet at the Welcome Desk to help us know how much food to prepare. A release form is required for everyone attending. Release forms and directions are available at the Welcome Desk.


  1. Light The Night Walk ~ The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk Thursday, October 2, at Railroad Park, celebrates and commemorates lives touched by blood cancers here in the Birmingham area. You can honor Mark Smith by forming a fundraising team and/or by donating at retail outlets. Visit www.lightthenight.org/al.


  1. Senior Adult Day Trip ~ We are going to the Ole Cook Stove (an Amish Restaurant) Friday, October 3, leaving EBC at 9:45 A.M., returning around 2:00 P.M. The cost is $12.83 per person which includes the buffet and a drink. We will also stop at the Dutch Oven Bakery on the way back. Sign up at the Welcome Center by Sunday, September 28.


  1. Fall Festival Meeting ~ A planning meeting for the Fall Festival will be held Sunday, October 5, at 5:00 P.M. in the Old Sanctuary. At least one representative from each Adult Spiritual Growth class is encouraged to attend plus anyone else who wants to help.


  1. Worship in Pink ~ Worship in Pink Sunday is October 12, to raise awareness about breast cancer and to honor our survivors and those who have lost their battle with breast cancer. We ask that everyone wear pink on this day.


  1. Senior Adult Lunch ~ Tuesday, October 14 in the Fellowship Hall at 11:00 A.M. Mr. Wesley Dickmann, with Happy Hearts Studio in Springville, will provide musical entertain- ment. We will have baked chicken with rice, rolls, and drinks. Please bring a vegetable, salad, and/or a dessert.


  1. Wise Guys Tutoring Ministry ~ Tutoring will begin Monday, October 20. This ministry is designed to provide free academic help to first - sixth grade students. Tutors are needed toworkwithchildrenonMondaynightsfrom6:00-7:15P.M. Noteachingexperienceis necessary. A worker meeting will be held Sunday, October 19, at 5:00 P.M. in the Chil- dren’s Building. If you are interested in showing love to students in our area, please call Lisa Skinner at 914-7932.


  1. One Lord, One God, A Heart Undivided ~ Sign up has begun for the Women’s Fall Retreat at Springville Conference Center November 7-8. The cost is $55 per person which includes accommodations, food, a t-shirt and a charm. The zip line (optional) is $5 extra to be paid at registration.
